Bochum Perspektive 2022 GmbH intends to reactivate the areas of Opel Plant 1 in Bochum for new urban development purposes. The industrial wasteland is to be reintegrated into the urban development structure of the city of Bochum by means of land recycling in regional consensus with the neighbouring communities. The aim is to provide land ready for construction for subsequent use. The implementation of this construction measure is associated with a considerable risk potential. Therefore, with regard to occupational safety and health protection, the primary goal is to realise an accident-free execution of the work for the revitalisation and development of the areas of Opel Plant 1 in Bochum that is nevertheless on schedule and cost-secure.

BIG's share of benefits:
- Safety and health protection coordination (SiGeKo) in accordance with §3 of the Construction Site Ordinance (BaustellV) in accordance with RAB 30 as commissioned third party
- Preparation of site regulations
- Preparation of safety and health protection plans in accordance with RAB 31 and the document for later work in accordance with RAB 32 in the planning phase.
- Updating the safety and health protection plans in accordance with RAB 31 and the document for subsequent work in accordance with RAB 32 during the execution phase.
- Accompanying and monitoring the deconstruction, site clearance and development work as SiGeKo on site through weekly inspections with regard to compliance with the safety standards
